The preparations are mostly done. The sun has set. Whether your house is full of noise and laughter or you are enjoying a peaceful night of solitude, Christmas Eve has a specific kind of stillness to it.

What is one small thing you do only on Christmas Eve?

Do you feel ready for the big day tomorrow?

What is the "official" Christmas Eve meal in your world?

If you are spending tonight alone, please know you are a vital part of this community. We are so glad you’re here with us in this digital space

First of all I am spending both days by myself. So thank you for saying I’m a vital part of this community and you’re so glad I’m here in this digital space.

1. Anything I say or do is too meaningful, important or purposeful to be thought of as a “small thing.” On Christmas Eve I’ll always tell myself how proud I am of getting through the year, even the bad times as I’m listening to music or starting a 48 hour Christmas or feel good movie/tv episode marathon.

2. Yes bc since I’m by myself, no stress or pressure or anything like that to get ready/be prepared for a pointless party or gathering. Thank god.

3. There is no “official” Christmas Eve meal. The meal changes, not every year, but on whatever year I wanna change it with a different meal. Only thing that stays the same is whatever the meal is I’m happy with it.
