2017 Adult PB Award Winner - Power!
We are excited to announce the PB winner! The PB award is named after the first big believer in 7 Cups – Paul Buchheit (PB). PB is mostly known as the creator of Gmail and the person responsible for their early motto do no evil. Most people do not know that he has the keen ability to see through to the essence of things. He often uses this ability to help make the world a better place. He immediately saw the potential of 7 Cups and was instrumental in our initial success.
The 2017 Adult winner of this award at embodies these traits. This year the winner is @Power! Since joining the listener community, Power has slowly made their way through the listener journey. They have been a quiet, calm and supportive leader, taking on challenges with grit, creativity and determination. Power is a leader to the following community programs: welcome team, internship team, quality mentor for anonymous evaluations, peer support team leader & trainer and quality flag review team member.
Power is an infinitely kind individual. When presented with a challenge, he will proactively problem solve and brainstorm. Power is adaptable and open minded to changes that benefit our community. One example of this happened recently! In launching the member welcome program and later the auto-welcome system, Power worked hard with his team members to adapt and iterate on our welcome programs. With his continued efforts, we are proud to say that 100% of all new members who join our community get a warm welcome.
We are thrilled to award Power the 2017 PB award. His flexibility, willingness to chip in where he is needed and his ability to see the essence of things with clarity and resolve make him an excellent leader, community member and friend to all of us.

Power is a friend to all - they are supportive and encouraging in every single way, be it community growth, morale support or absolutely anything on the site. Their exception work with the peer support team, Welcoming Team and anonymous evaluations team shows their extraordinary dedication and passion towards the site. Their radical ideas regarding the teams and their structure have led to a lot of positive changes

Wow! What an amazing honor it is to be chosen for the 2017 PB award on the adult side! I was just as shocked as you were when it was announced. 
At first I thought I had won some peanut butter.
I remember when I was a brand new listener just starting out here and I thought that 7 Cups was such a unique community, like nothing I ever seen before. A place comprised of so many people from all different parts of the world. (One hundred and eighty nine countries to be exact) It has been one of the most interesting and rewarding opportunities I have ever had the chance to be a part of. 7 Cups serves a specific purpose for many people.
I share this PB Award with the entire site. To the massive amount of volunteers that provide their valuable time everyday to help others. To those that are making a difference in peoples lives and in their own life. To the volunteers that work quietly outside of the spotlight, and to those that truly believe in the vision of this community. All of your hard work is greatly appreciated.

Power is the kind of guy that not only deserves every jar of peanut butter, but also everything in your wallets. If they're empty, he is worth you selling your souls to Satan herself so that he may buy himself a drink. He deserves it for never allowing his head to explode. Congrats on being a neat dude, and your award.
