#BellLetsTalk Day: I speak up about mental health because...

Bell Let's Talk is a Canadian organization whose goal is to open up and normalize conversations about mental health in efforts to make mental illness a less stigmatizing thing to talk about.
Today is Bell Let's Talk Day!
Why do you speak up about mental health?
@Kate because it deserves recognition that its real that it needs to be heard not pushed under a rug and forgotten about because i believe those with mental health have a voice and have feelings too

@Kate
I speak up about mental health because... it is something no one should go through alone and just as valid as any other health issue.
@Kate
I speak up about mental health because it is something many people experience but is also something many try ignore. Whether that be concern on what it might cause or the fear of judgement. Nobody should suffer alone and talking can be a great way of opening a new path to a support system that can further lead to recieving the help deserved as well as educating others on the subject too
@Kate This is indeed an excellent opportunity to once again remind us that it is okay to talk about mental health!
Why do you speak up about mental health?
I speak up about mental health because it is just as important as physical health. We live in a time where it is very essential to play our roles in breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.
Your wings already exist, all you've got to do is fly!
@Kate
I speak up because I know how it feels! Sometimes the only way to find people to relate is to speak up first.
@Kate
I speak up about mental health because...
I know what its like to feel alone in your own little world. I want people to know that theyre not alone in this battle. Theyll always have people like me supporting them. <3

@Kate i speck up so other people won't have to suffer like i did
@Kate
I speak up about mental health because.... All my life I was label , everyone put me in a box and I was all alone. I lived the darkest valley but it is not meant to be lived alone.
its so important to be edecated on mental health and what it's not. People who have no idea what BPD is or depression assume the worse... I choose to speak out because I don't want someone else to go though what I have had to go though. Knowledge is power.

I want to break down the stigma surrounding it and help people realise recovery IS possible.
I speak up about mental health to raise awareness that it is something that's okay to struggle with and is important to take care of. I know that sometimes it can seem like you're the only person in the world who deals with it, so talking openly about it can comfort others. It's also great to support people through correct information and resources rather than something that may not be completely accurate. c:
