One thing 7 cups has taught me is I'm not alone in this. There is someone that cares even if I don't know them personally. I'm very thankful for that.

One thing that being apart of 7 Cups has taught me is that there are A LOT of weirdos out there ... but weirdos are the best! 😁

One thing 7 cups has taught me is that there are people who realize that they have an issue and are not worried to ask for help. I appreciate that. Because accepting that you have an issue is one thing. But realizing that and ask for help is a great thing. And I am proud to be a listener in 7 Cups.

@Laura

That there are a lot of people who needs our help ,and we all can cooperate with each other to make this world a better place by understanding and sharing each others pain.

That a problem shared is a problem halved. :)

How hard (and sometimes heartbreaking) it can be to help run a site for people struggling. I've heard that some people have been struggling with their thing for years and could never tell a soul, or people who need therapy but can't afford it or people who feel like nobody cares. It both breaks my heart and makes me realise how powerful (for better or worse) sites like these can be.

I have experinace working as a professional in the feild of human service for 10+ years, as a Therapuetic Foster Parent and as an assitant in mental health crisis. Since being a listener on 7 Cups, I have learned that there are many lonely, depress and forgotten people worldwide. All they need and want is someone to listen for a moment. I feel that 7 Cups is doing a great service to the stressed, hopeless and mentally ill. I stand proudly as a representive for 7 Cups. smiley

iSsA long thread -- get some popcorn and a nice armchair (make sure not to use any chairs that require shelfing later)

People blur into the background. You go through your day to day and see so many faces and people that fly by. Coming on here was like putting on glasses, that blur isn't there anymore. Seeing with your heart is bullshit. I refuse to believe that is what's happening here. But ok maybe it is.

Noticing people is important, ok////

In real life I wasn't really being noticed anymore. I had distanced myself from friends and without even knowing it gone back into my shell a bit.

I just thought I was sad that my friend group wasn't close enough but that isn't the root of it. I just wanted to be seen. When I started leveling up on 7cups I decided that I hella needed to get involved with the communipeople. So I started an initiative to stop being a 7cups hermit. It's been less than a month and already I am part of a family. I found my bravery, and my wit and my spark.

Look ladies and germs...

Starry is who I want to be.

And I am her and she is me.

And thats what 7cups gave me.
