Special Events Collaborations and Representatives.

Dear team and project leaders,

In order to create special events, the Special Events Organisers reach out to and gain the support and help of a multitude of listeners, many of which include team members. However, in order to improve our connections as well as celebrate and commemorate more observances, a Collaboration spreadsheet has been created.

The spreadsheet includes the following teams and projects so far: Appreciation Team, Birthday Project, Book Club, Events Team, Feed Team, Forum Team, Social Soldiers and Stigma Warriors.

The idea is to use it to sync our activities for special events. In doing so, we can improve the way in which we collaborate and support each other in bringing a series of diverse activities.

If your team or project is not listed but could be involved in this, please send me a message!

You can also learn more about special events here, in case you are wondering what I'm talking about.

Some leaders have since received a message from me about Special Events representatives.

Special Events representatives would focus on engaging their teams in celebrating observances. They would also coordinate and manage the spreadsheet on behalf of whatever team they are on. This is in order to effectively communicate the activities of the team they are representing with Special Events Organisers. They may also possibly lead these activities, depending on the arrangement with the leaders.

Having said that, who would Special Events representatives be? They could be the leaders, those appointed by the leaders or those within your team that volunteer (whatever you decide will be most efficient for your team). I am also open to a name-change. Haha!

I am writing this because I would like to pitch the idea in a place where it can be read by every team / project leader on 7 Cups!

But please feel free to let me know your thoughts via PM or here via the forums. Thank you very much!

Love this!

Sounds similar to @Lee's idea! Basically, we would gather all these community building teams and have them fall under the growth mentor track. But we'd rename the track to "community mentor" track. It would encapsulate all the community building programs .. many of them mentioned here!

Then each of the individuals who are part of these teams could work towards being a community mentor!

Yes, hopefully to complement that, these special events representatives would allow us to better work together and keep each other in the loop about our community events on 7 Cups! However, the events are still of course centered around observances - which I think is a plus. Even so, any other events could be listed as well, e.g. the Appreciation Festival and being aware of this, we could offer our help or input to make each event as grand as it can be! @Laura

@QuickJazz

I think it'd be awesome if we collaborated on this, as I have a similar plan going with the reformed track!

Just intruding here to check on my notifications, I'll PM you when I'm back from my break, @QuickJazz, but I'd be happy to be a SE representative for the Stigma Warriors. Whatever works for y'all.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and Jazziliant, we gotta talk about this plan coming to mind about the Warriors/Special Event awareness thingy. Will explain when I return.

PS. This renovated community track sounds gorgeous. Will this apply to the teen side too? I have a few people I'd love to nominate for this track, if applicable. Tagging @Lee and @Laura
