I would like to get some book reccomendations.

Mostly YA type novels but I recommend for everyone.

Classic Romance:

Charlotte Brontë has some amazing books if you don’t mind old times language. My personal favourite is Jane Eyre. She has a lot of classic female leads who fall for the dashing young man eventually.

Jane Austen is another old timey author. Pride and Prejudice is her most well known work. Like Brontë, she has female leads that fall for the man.

I love old romances and highly recommend them to everyone. There’s something about the classics that just makes me so happy

Young Adult Romance:

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. (Trigger warning for cancer and death) One of my all time favourites. It is so sad but also hopeful. Green has a bunch of other books, all of which I highly recommend.

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han. I did not like this book, but a lot of my peers did, so it goes on the list. Summer romance/love triangle.

Five Feet Apart by Rachel Lippincott (Trigger warning for terminal illness) Another kinda sad book. I cried a bit. But I enjoyed it.

The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon Loved this book so much. It’s a twenty four hour romance between an immigrant who’s about to be deported and the boy she just met. Kinda sad ending. Yoon has a few other books that I also recommend (Instructions for Dancing and Everything, Everything) but that was my favourite.

Queer Romance:

Casey Mcquinston has three books. I Kissed Shara Wheeler is a cute young adult romance with lots of representation. Red, White, and Royal Blue and One Last Stop are both meant for adult audiences and definitely have some mature scenes.

Alice Oseman writes for young adults. She’s most well know for Heartstopper, the graphic novel series, which has been turned into a TV show in the last few years. All of her other novels are amazing as well.

Madeline Miller has two books, but she’s more well known for the Song of Achilles. Based on the legend of Achilles and Patroclus, it’s very gay and very cute.

They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera (Trigger Warning for death) So good but so sad. Highly recommend.
