My favourite would have to be Sum: Forty Tales from the Afterlives.
As I kind of struggle to digest books, a collection of short stories really suited me. Besides just being a fun read, it planted a seed: what comes after, if anything?
I've been atheist, I've been agnostic, I've had faith, I've lost it. I can't decide where I sit. But I can't help but feel there is something after life.
Not only that, but I believe life and death are steps on a path to an almost frighteningly beautiful and rich reality, and that the experience never stops. It's not intense, but it's not boring.
