It's about a neurosurgeon who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer as soon as his career starts. He talks about how he wrestled with the concept of death as a doctor and now as a cancer patient and it's really eye-opening!

I relate to that so much, even though I'm more of an Odysseus in demeanor and behavior. Beware of this Greek, beating gifts... Only my Penelope got killed in a car accident. Hurray for me...
The Iliad and its sister the Odyssey is the singular greatest epic of all time. Enjoy!

I dip in and out of the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series, and so far this one is interesting since the plot focuses more on the wererats and their king Rafael.

I read a lot of mysteries. Right now I'm reading "The ABC Murders" by Agatha Christie and "Before I Go to Sleep" by SJ Watson.

I was trying to respond originally to your comment about the Iliad lol I think I messed that up.. I've always wanted to read The Hobbit just because it's a classic. I don't think I can do Lord of the Rings though because I don't have much patience for extensive world building in literature. I love the movies though!

The Complete Sherlock Holmes. Every single Sherlock Holmes book. So far im not past book one because i don't read a lot lmao. ^^
I'm a really big Sherlock Holmes fan. I especially love the movies with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. The second one is definitely my favourite. The train scene makes me gush in happiness. Aha- I'm gonna ramble on and on if I don't stop writing. If you're interested in hearing more I'd be really happy to explain everything I love about the second movie!!!

I am reading the Harry Potter series. I missed that phase a few years ago but I have kinda hit a dry spot in reading.

When I was 17 I was visiting some people and I forgot to bring a book for before bed. On the first night they gave me the first Harry Potter book and I thought it was very weird because it was a children's book 😂 but I could not put it down that night! And I read the whole series of course lol Otherwise I mostly read classics.
