Maybe it doesn’t count

But I think it did

Maybe it didn’t work

But it changed me

Maybe no one knows

But I will always remember

Maybe I’m just making a big deal

But it took courage

Maybe I’m just looking for attention

But I held it all within

Maybe yours was worse

But they both leave scars

Maybe it didn’t work

But I thought it would

Maybe I’m still here

But something in me is gone
