Writing Thread (Just because)
I want to get back to writing on a regular basis. I stopped writing because of work, but lately I've been trying to make more time to be creative/write more often. I saw this really cool online group that was trying to host 5 hour writing marathons for people who were seriously into writing. I have a hard time writing on a regular basis but I do want to. I also have a hard time finding a good writing group online to belong to. I think a writing thread just talking about writing could be cool. My goal is to write for 30 minutes once per week. I was doing well with getting through my story last year, but I threw in the towel. I don't know if I want to start with my story or just write something completely different, but I do want to get back to writing on some level. I thought about doing writing prompts but I got bored with those. I just miss the creativity of being totally involved with writing, reading, and watching good movies - that was my relaxing downtime. Now, it seems, I work a lot and just watch YouTube/listen to music. I want to get back into my art and creative time. I use to enjoy content creation too, but I threw in the towel on creating reading/writing content just because I began to feel overwhelmed with all of my responsibilities.
@sonnieeee
I hope you find time to reignite this passion again 🤗💚

@Amanda84 Hello, I actually started writing today and I feel good. I'm going to try to be consistent with writing at least 30 minutes every Wednesday, thank you for that support.
@sonnieeee
That sounds like a good idea, you are most welcome 💚🥰
Today I'm working on CSS 147 and I'm really proud of how far I've come with my novel, I'm 19K out of 50K words in, soon this novel will be complete and I can't wait but I'm not rushing the process because I'm enjoying the way this story is unfolding. I'm happy that I'm writing this morning, this expression is really helping me with managing my emotions and my mood. I don't really feel like working too hard today so my total focus is on enjoying my story instead of life's demands.
This morning I decided to add to Nice Girls Finish Last. Taking time to add to this novel feels really nice because I thoroughly enjoy the characters and how the story is unfolding, this story isn't hard to write because it's very relatable. Putting at least 15 minutes into my story today means a lot to me, I'm going to work on my website and try my hardest to generate a writer's income digitally.
I'm with you, I love writing but not the pressure that comes with it. I'm not one of those that could do it every day, I draw a blank, but when I have time and I'm less frazzled it tends to pour out more easily.
Maybe you can mix it up, sometimes lighthearted and silly and other times something more meaningful?
I should have wrote down the name but when I was searching for a home to write in, there was a site where you could add to people's stories, sounded interesting but it's not really for me, I don't want anyone else's input on mine, I'm too particular ha.
That’s a good idea to mix it up, I enjoy wiring in different mediums, like sometimes I’m in my journal, other times I’m online and then others I’m on Scrivener. Lately, I’ve been craving Tumblr again because it was really fun to blog.
I do agree that stress levels play a role, it’s hard to care about writing when life is happening.
@sonnieeee With writing I feel like my brain can only handle so much intensity at a time, plus I like variety, so many people seem to assume you have to stick to one topic, nope, I like variety.
I've never heard of Scrivener. Blogger was the easier to use so that was my preference. There's no reason not to use a few platforms.
It's funny that sometimes it's writing itself and other times I am a complete blank but enjoy it :)
