I know it's not a movie, but I really love Over the Garden Wall. The characters, imagery, symbolism both visible and hidden, and the lessons make this mini series one of my favorites. Not to mention the sense of nostalgia that creeps over me each time I watch. My favorite episode is Chapter 7: The Ringing of the Bell.

The Intouchables
Even though it's in French *sigh the movie is based on a true story about a young man from the streets helping out a millionaire quadriplegic. Very heartwarming and directed really well.
