Chapter 1 - Her name was Scratchy..
I was in the mood to create something short and fictiony..
Today was a tough day. I needed someone to talk too, even though I'm not a sharer. I sat on the windowsill looking out as I often did, trying to switch my brain off and stare into the void of nothingness.
I felt something rough brush against my sleeve. "Ouch." Suddenly you appeared outside the window floating looking at me smiling with a silly grin.
Your only words ever spoken to me were.. "Hi I'm Scratchy." Your eyes stared at me intensely and for absolutely no reason you fell about laughing, it was soo infectious I started giggling too.
You held your paw against the window pane and urged me to do the same as though we were connected.
I did and then you gestered me for to talk as you curled up cosily encouraging me. I couldn't though it was too soon.
So you started pulling funny faces and we both chuckled at the absurdity.
You then held both paws out wide as though you were hugging me, saying It's alright, feel this way or that, it doesn't bother me at all.
I see you, I accept you and whatever happens food will always be our favourite subject.
I'll purr you later..

Thanks for sharing 💜💕
Sometimes when we are really struggling, have no one to talk to, have been through alot, happiness and comfiet cannot sent itself in the smallest ways, this cat represents so much more, healing, presence, comfort, love, support 🥰
@Amanda84 Smiles, I wrote part 2 already. It's funny I had writer's block until I joined here. I'm not a talker personally but a writer, so every tale comes out different to what I expect :)
Writing to me is like a warm teary hug :)
@ScrabbleBrain
I get what you mean. Writing allows me to open my heart, I'm too shy to speak or open up to people, writing is a release 💕
@Amanda84 That's lovely a fellow writer. You are very articulate and wise so I'm looking forward to reading your work on here :)
I'm not the greatest but I have always loved writing, even if it took me a long long long time to unlock my voice
@ScrabbleBrain
Your voice deserves to be heard 🥰
@Amanda84 so does yours, we all need to vent and get it out of our system and if people relate all the better but even they don't, they can always empathise with it :)
@ScrabbleBrain
It helps others, to know, they are not the only one going through something and it does get better 💕💜
@ScrabbleBrain
Your story was painful to me.
The other day I was upset. Not exactly arguing with my partner. But struggling to communicate. My cat came in and sat on my lap. I distractedly gave him a stroke. He started "prickling" - unintentionally catching me with his claws. I lifted him off my lap with "sorry I can't deal with this right now".
Unlike the person in your story, I didn't accept the offered love and comfort. I feel that is so representative of me - rejecting the one thing I want and need.
