Story I made a while back (contains swearing, mentions of blood)
let me know if I need to add more content warnings, by the way.
Also there may be some inconsistencies.
The smell of rain all around, the sounds of city streets and cars. Honking, beeping, talking, shouting. But the sound of only an alarm was enough to wake up Penumbra Devalison.
“7:30 already?” Penumbra mumbled, getting up and yawning in her pajama pants. She walked over to her bathroom and began brushing her teeth. She then rinsed her mouth out with water and spit in the sink. “Blood… Damnit,” She whispered to herself, looking at the shabbled clothing pile next to the bed. She sighed, getting dressed with clean clothes from the drawers.
Penumbra pulled up to the garage on her motorcycle, wearing a white crop-top and navy jeans that had way too many tears and rips to count. Sunglasses that, just like her smooth dark skin, reflected the sun in scattered ways. She stepped off the motorcycle, setting the black and purple helmet on a side table. Penumbra turned on the lights and began waiting for customers. She heard a ring of a bell while sitting at a desk, her head shot up immediately.
“Penny!” said a high pitched, but not annoying female voice. Penumbra looked up and saw her. A girl with neon green eyes and teal hair, skin as light as soft sand on the beach. It was Terra.
“Need another repair, Terr?” Penumbra asked, a smile on her face as she looked at her.
“You know it!” Terra responded, grabbing a toolbox that had a lock on it. Penumbra got up and followed Terra into a back room, where white LED lights lit the small room and a table sat in the middle.
“What is it that needs fixin’ today?” Penumbra asked, using a key to open the toolbox. Inside were stainless steel tools and wires in bags. Robotic parts and small sheets of silicon skin.
“Just a few wire replacements, and maybe a new set of eyes,” Terra chuckled, looking at Penumbra’s bright red eyes. Her fans in her chest began to whir and her face began to overheat. “You know, you need to tell me about moving locations, Penny. I keep losing you,”
“Oh, haha. At least it’s still in the city. And actually I don’t plan on moving after this place,” Penumbra responded, looking around as the wrench repeatedly hit her chin. As Tessa laid down, Penumbra plugged her into a wall outlet, putting her in sleep mode. Penumbra began opening a small hatch in the arm. On the door was a code-number. ‘Techna–457’.
Hissssssh. A small door opened in the back of the garage. Ominous lighting came from the stairway it led to. Penumbra slowly turned on Terra. “Terr, wake up. I think I did something.”
Terra lifted her head and looked at the doorway, closing the hatch on her arm. “Weird. What did you do?”
“I think I hit a button.”
Terra stood up and walked towards the doorway, it had a green glow. The same shade as her eyes. “This feels… oddly familiar,” she whispered, touching the frame gently with her fake hands. She sighed and walked in. Penumbra followed, the cord unplugging from the wall.
“See anything interesting?” Penumbra asked, looking at Terra. She grabbed the cord’s other end and unplugged it from Terra, throwing it aside to pick up later. “I can’t waste those things, they are expensive,” Penumbra crossed her arms, continuing to follow. Tessa stopped when they arrived at a large room. Old LED lights lit it up, but it was still dark. The room was covered in dust and old equipment. In the center was a chamber of bright blue liquid, and inside was a human body, parts missing but still aging normally.
“This is…” Terra paused, looking at the girl inside.
“***… I hit a JACKPOT of stuff!” Penumbra cheered to herself, grabbing an old crate of tools. She looked around, smiling brightly.
Terra looked upset, nervous, surprised. “This isn’t right–” Terra then stared directly at a keypad. A cord hung out of it. “Techna–457 ONLY” it says, Terra repeated it to herself and she then looked at the hatch on her arm. She opened it up, plugging the cord into her arm and immediately slumping over against the glass, making a loud thud.
“What the ***?!” Penumbra rushed over, grabbing Terra by the arm and putting her on an old dusty chair. She looked around and noticed a glowing light from the keypad. “Techna–457,” she repeated, looking at the girl in the liquid chamber. She began to twitch. To move. “Wait…”
A ding made Penumbra jump.
“Memory fully installed, welcome back, Terra.”
“What the ***?!” Penumbra got scared, eating away at her red fingernails. Suddenly, another ding. Penumbra grabbed arm-length gloves and an apron, using the cords and wires to get the person out of there. She sat them down on a table, looking around for clothes. She found some, putting them neatly on the table. “Terr? Is that you?” Penumbra gently tapped on their shoulder, on the verge of tears.
“Hello…? P-Penny…?” The human stuttered and shivered, looking hazily at Penumbra then the pile of clothes. “It’s me.. Terra!” they said, hugging Penumbra. Taglist: @SyriusSystem

ohh! i love it! very intriguing, now i want to know moree! is penumbra a robot too in this situation? did she unlock some sort of memories? or did she block some memories?
i really love the was that you precisely described the scenarios, it made it much more easier for me to picture things more clearly^^ also, thank you for taking time to write this over my sloppy demandXD
@SaturniidSys This was captivating—equal parts tender and mysterious. Penumbra and Terra's bond feels real. I’m hooked!.... especially by the way memory, identity and friendship unfold in such a quiet and powerful way.
