Hello everyone! I am Cube. I love stories and I have always wanted to try writing something myself. This is my first time ever writing something I actually share with someone. I am curious to hear what you think of it!


The Boy Who Built a Hundred Bridges

From books to pencils, he used it all, building bridges on his bedroom floor. 
His parents clapped and smiled with pride at their boy's crafty hands. 
Each work stronger and longer than the one he built before. 
So there he walked, the boy who built a hundred bridges. 

As an architect, the boy built real bridges crossing rivers now. 
Neighbors crossed them smiling and waving as they passed. 
The boy glowed with pride at their praise, he found his path. 
So there he walked, the boy who built a hundred bridges. 

Then came his bridge across the sea, stretching further than the eye could see. 
But no footsteps were to be heard, besides the echoes of his own. 
"Of course it stands", people said as they passed the lonely bridge. 
So alone he walked, the boy who built a hundred bridges. 

At last he built a small spot to pause in the middle of the span. 
A spot where he stood with his closest friend, gazing out at the horizon. 
No words about strength or design, just the view of the old bridges he built. 
So there he stood, the boy who built a hundred bridges.
