8 years together and 5 months engaged and it’s gone
My partner who was my high school sweetheart left me for another guy she did not want to fix our relationship even though I really wanted to and now idk I feel like I’ll never find someone like her again and I’ll just be alone
This may sound corny, but life has so many possibilities. Maybe you can't find someone like her, but it doesn't mean you can't open yourself up to a whole new perspective, and you should explore it. For example, if you find a woman with different looks and personality than your ex, don't be too quick to dismiss the possibility of getting hooked up with her. You feel downhearted like you are now because you're still reeling from the breakup. Give your heart time to heal, and when you're ready, go seek those new opportunities.
Thanks for the kind words, I’ll definitely keep this in mind it’s just crazy to me that not even 2 weeks after leaving me she’s already with someone else and that’s making it really hard for me
I’m so sorry to hear that, I’m going through a breakup after 9 years together, also wanted to keep working to fix our relationship but he was done trying. I totally understand what you’re saying, I feel like he was my soulmate and don’t really see myself dating anyone else. But I’m going to take this time to heal myself and then try to work on myself and create a life that I am excited about. You are still so young and have your whole life ahead of you!
