At a Crossroads
Has anyone out there tried relationship therapy/marriage counselling with any success? I feel like we’ve always just battled through issues because we loved each other more than anything we faced, but lately that’s really worn away and trust issues and insecurities have taken a toll. I’ve done my own counselling for depression and anxiety, as has he for addiction but couples counselling is not something he’s interested in. Our communication is at an all time low, and fighting or ignoring has become the norm. I’m unhappy and unsatisfied, feeling very stuck after going through years of this, but I also don’t want to risk our family looking for “greener grass”. I feel like I’ve tried to fix so much that leaving is more of an option than ever before
Thank you for sharing this with us here.
Hi. I am exactly in the same position you are and totally feel your pain. We have tried counseling together but he has stopped attending the sessions because he feels like they don't help. I continue to go for my mental health. I just feel like I have to keep trying. I don't want any regrets. Just wanted to let you know you are not alone.
