Breakup (3 months)
Hello everyone!
My ex cheated, broke up with me (we were together for 8 years) and got into a relationship right away. Month 1 was so difficult. I couldn't eat or sleep, I lost 25 pounds and felt so drained. Month 2 was also difficult because his family kept in touch with me and I just felt guilty and numb. Now it's month 3 and I feel super numb and I start to cry before going to work. His family has not contacted me and I feel upset about that but also alittle relieved because he has no information about me. One thing that has not changed is him always crossing my mind every single day. I reject my feelings. I'm scared of feeling like this.

It sounds like you're going through a very difficult and painful time after your breakup, especially with the added betrayal of your ex's infidelity. It's completely normal to experience a range of emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, and numbness. It's also understandable that you're still thinking about your ex every day, especially after 8 years of being together. Here are a few suggestions that might help:
Give yourself time to grieving. It's important to allow yourself to feel the pain and sadness, and it's okay to cry.
Seek support from friends, family, or a therapist. It can be helpful to talk to someone who can provide a listening ear and offer guidance.
Take care of yourself. Make sure you're eating well, getting enough sleep, and engaging in activities that make you feel good.
Try to focus on the present moment. It can be easy to get stuck in the past or worry about the future, but try to focus on what's happening in the present and what you can do to take care of yourself.
Give yourself permission to move on. It's okay to let go of the past and focus on the future. You deserve to be happy and to find someone who will treat you with respect and love.
Remember that healing takes time and it's not a linear process. There will be good days and bad days, but with time and support, you will eventually feel better. Don't be too hard on yourself, you are doing the best you can ❤️

I understand that it is a difficult time but loss and grief is a process and comes through stages all with unique timing and experience. Hope that as the months pass you begin finding some resolution and relief regarding your emotions and feelings. Wishing the best~
