Break up

So me and my gf of 2.5 years broke up. I’m actually okay with the break up. I really did love her and I feel we made a great team together for a future family but she feels she’s needs someone more exactly like her ie super outgoing. I’m not shy but I’m also not going to stand up In front of a whole room of people and do something silly. My anxiety comes from feeling that I’ll never find someone better for me. To further this feeling I’m moved back to our area after awhile away and all my friends were friends through my relationship. So on top of the feelings of a normal break up,I’m feeling like everything of meaning in my life is gone. I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this situation and how they were able to get out of the rut and find new friends and partners as well as dealing with the loneliness of the initial few days after the break up when you have literally nothing to lean on besides family.

@powerfulPlane2700 I'm sorry about the heartbreak. It can be overwhelming when it feels like everyone you care about is "gone". The truth is that not *everyone* you care about is gone, just some of them--and that's okay. People, friends, lovers, partners come in and out of our lives for the entirety of our lives. It is the ebb and flow, the rhythm of life. The joy and pain, the dark and light, the hot and cold. Think about *surfing* your emotions: going for a ride because they are there to take you somewhere... Hopefully, eventually, a place where, after you process the emotions, peace will find you. You will heal and recover. You will live through this and it will make you stronger.
