Confused and hurt

About 7 months ago my ex of 7 years and I broke up . We have a 3yr old together. Recently in the last 2 months we started rekindling things but we hadnt really talked about where things were going. But last week he told me that he got another girl pregnant that he hooked up with right after we broke up and she has already had the baby due to complications. He still wants to hold on to us but wants to put us on hold to figure his life out first. I am soooo devastated and feel betrayed because I have wanted more kids and a family with him since we we had our daughter together. Im trying to give him space but I feel so broken and I dont know what to do. Im trying to stay strong for my daughter but its difficult and I dont want to tell my family because I know they will judge him and bad mouth him

i know he was wrong but people make mistakes
