Dedicated 2 years to a relationship where time and again it was one sided. He moved 1,000 miles away and after 3 weeks said it was too hard because he couldn’t balance a relationship- which is respectable. Found out not 3 weeks later he’s with a new girl. Can’t help but feel like I’m the problem and maybe I wasn’t enough to make him happy.

@slkaras22 That sounds really painful to go through and I really feel for you because it's really stressful to feel like you're the only person putting in effort into a relationship. It sounds like your ex wanted to find a relationship that'd just be more convenient to him. What's valuable to remember is that whether a potential partner loves you or not, you've still got the responsibility of taking care of yourself and giving yourself some love. It isn't your responsibility to make him happy so much as it is your responsibility to know your worth and be kind to yourself. We can only control the variables within our hands and if another person doesn't choose you, that rejection doesn't make it fair to emotionally beat yourself up. I believe you'll be able to heal from this and things will potentially get better.

I'll leave you with a poem that may be of some comfort.
