Me and my guy dates for 5-6 months. He broke up with me because O wasnMt christian and we weren't allowed to date.

from the beggining he knew I wasn't christian but his mentor told him that ne and him could never date because of me not being religious.

We are both so deeply in love with eachother still and still hug and kiss. We even had a one night stand. Nothinng can keep us apart yet we hare still not back together

A true believer(christian) will put beliefs and principals before everything else. There are all levels of true.. in this. Many hypocrites and ones that only talk but don't really walk the walk.

A man that really walks this walk can be a great partner. Very strong as they are sure (confident) in the choice they have made. What this means is that they will live by a template of how christian teaches is correct. I have seen many couples where the lady is christian and not the man. I do not remember seeing any cases where the man is and the lady is not.

He might feel guilty about the one night stand thing as it is against the christian teaching.. If so probably can get over that if he thougt you are investigating his believes.

Check out his church and see if it works for you. What draws you to him is probably his confidence.. that likely is based on his christian beliefs. If he made another choice and gave that up he would not be the same one any more. If your new to christian ideas, most of them are ok and what most of western culture is based off of. Just remember that in any church there are a lot of ppl that are there for all sorts of reasons. Don't let your opinion of a couple of bad ppl color your view of the overall picture.

Good luck.

It sounds like he already knows what he truly wants, he just needs to find a reason why he shouldn't see it as something "bad". Right now, he's reasoning through what other people tell him, but he needs to think with his own head. You'll need to talk about this, a lot. You can try to ask him why should it be wrong, since he knows you are a good person and if he loves you it means that you both have good principles, even though yours don't come from christian faith. He needs to be told that what truly matters is whether a person has a good, loving, altruistic heart or not. If you share the same view of life, it doesn't matter if it comes from faith or just from a good heart, what truly matters is that hearts who are alike have no reason to be apart. And repressing something that doesn't hurt anyone but only makes people happy is also not good for his christian life. How can he be a good christian with love in his heart, when he gives up on what makes him the most happy? Try to reason with him, to let him work on why he thinks it's wrong, and with time, I'm sure he can come to accept that there is nothing wrong in this love!
