Do i let go or move on?

Me and my ex broke up about 2 months ago. We dated for 2 and a half years. He broke up with me to "find himself" and to focus on his job and himself. He wanted to be "Free and live life without worries and without someone questioning him". We talk frequently (which i know is a mistake). Whenever I ask him if its permanent he gives me an I dont know. I ask him if i should give up on him and he says "I wanna say no, but i dont know. I really dont know. I dont know if this is permanent or not. 50-50 chance."

We are both 20 years old, high school sweethearts and just broke up going into our second year of college. We are eachothers first everything and our relationship was solid besides slightly controlling on both of our ends. We have never broken up before. I dont know what to do. Should i let go or hold on? We will be back in college together in less than a month, and right now all he does is work all day every single day at a ranch in the middle of nowhere. He's not partying or anything, just working. He says part of him wants to move on and part of him wants to wait it out. But i cant keep living like this. We had plans to marry one another and then i was completely blindsided. The breakup was so random.

If you think i should let go and move on, HOW DO I?! I've been staying busy, exercising, everything that people suggest and i cant move on or let go. PLEASE HELP!

This sums up the exact same thing I'm going through, it hurts like hell and I can't think or look at anything without her being assigned to it, i can't look at my car without thinking of her in the front seat I cant listen to music because it reminds me of her and it's getting to the point where I don't know if I should try to win her back or wait, she went out one night and kissed another guy she then broke up with me and said she wanted to be on her own for a while without a significant other but what made her go from I love you to kissing another guy the same afternoon and breaking up with me.

Im going to something so similar to this.we are both 21 and we are married.we have a 3 yeard old and he says the same things you bf is telling you...i was going to wait for him but he has been mean and rude to me like he hates me...so i decided to move on i dont know how i will do it being a new single mom but im sure I'll find a way.if i can do this with a child u can do it as well. If we didnt have our son i would've moved out already.

@brookeshere. I disagree with that one. If you love someone truly, then they may be worth it. You honestly cant tell until after the waiting is through, butyou can never know. I waited for my husband several times through out my life. When he went through basic, or got sent to cali for training. We're having issues at the moment but he was worth the wait. Dont say no ones worth the wait. Everybody is worth waiting for for somebody. Maybe someone is waiting for you.
