End of a lovely chapter
Two days ago my lovely partner came to me and said he was ending things and is moving out on Sunday. We have had our normal couple ups and downs, arguments etc. I feel like a fool thinking it was going the way it was going for me. It wasn't a nasty ending, no anger or unkind words. 10 mins really is all it took as I said I can't fight for a man who doesn't want me, nor convince him to change his mind. He said he had battled making the decision but in his heart he knew as he felt the relationship wasn't happening for us. So how can you work through that when that cements it. He wasn't unhappy but he felt like he couldn't be enough. I bought our home 2 years ago and it was a goal of mine long before I met him. He wasn't in a position to buy or contribute. He said that although he is so happy for me he just felt inferior and like a guest as it was my name on the ownership. I said it's my name but your home. He made himself well at home and I thought we were going along swimmingly. Feel stupid thinking it was.

Hey there, thank you so much for sharing here. Your effort to reach out is highly appreciated.
I understand that you've gone through a breakup in a relationship that you were very happy in and really looked forward to. However, it also seems like your partner was having trouble keeping up. I understand that you feel disappointed especially because you weren't expecting it. That makes things harder to deal with.
Your feelings are totally justified. Anyone in your place including me would feel the same if we go through a breakup like yours and that's alright. However, I can't imagine what a tough time you might be going through.
Beeakups can be extremely hard to deal with when you were happy in a relationship and didn't see them coming.
