Fell out of love

My bf and I were together for 2 years. All of a sudden I got a FaceTime saying he thinks we should break up. He no longer gets excited to see me and the future with me. He fell out of love. When I asked what happened. He says he doesn’t know. Just that feelings change. It came out of no where for me.

idk how to move on.

I want to talk to him. But know I shouldn’t reach out anymore it’s been about a week.

how do I move on and heal?

how do I trust anyone again after being completely blindsided by someone falling out of love with me and giving me no indication, only reassurance that he was busy with homework/school.

any advice or suggestions to help ease the pain and confusion would be greatly appreciated

@patientDime11,

it's not you. No one is to blame. It just happens at times that the flame dies. Sometimes that flame wasn't really thee for started. People at times break up for no reason, they grew apart, or one or both entered a relship out of convenience, to be not alone.

There can be a zillion reasons and none of those reasons matter. It won't change the situation.

You learned what it is to care for someone and that is a beautiful gift.

It was not you, it was not him, the chemistry is not there anymore.

Take your time to heal. To sit down with grieve. Spend time with you, come closer to your true self. If you truly love yourself, love will come to you.

@patientDime11

Love at first stages seems all exciting and new and settles into something else for many people it seems the chase the rush the thrill of the new relationship.

his telling you his level of excitement to see or talk to you is not the same.....he like many believe LOVE is that all the time the rush of infatuation or lust.......

You sound like you were ready for the next stage and he wasn't ...... Do not think it is a you thing it is him.....

you will find someone ready for that next step and honestly i have seen a person who found a partner that wanted to go to the next phase and the person "fell out of love" with them.
