Getting over the hurt.
Hello, my name is Lauren. A long time ago I met this man at an old job I used to have. He asked for my number, in which I thought he was lying, but he spoke to me. We talked, went out and everything. He was my very first boyfriend at 21. I thought things were going well until he revealed to me last minute that his girlfriend from CA would be moving in with him to attend university. He was in the Airforce at the time. I was heart broken, disgusted by him and the girl who often mocked my depression I suffered time to time. It was worse when she attended the same school as me. He later moved back to CA with her and revealed to me that he only stuck by my side because of pity. I am in a relationship now but I find myself getting angry at my ex and his girlfriend. Idk how to get over that kind of hurt and pain.
In my opinion ... self-care is the key to moving on from these broken relationships. 👍 Sometimes we have a tendency to become very depressed after these relationships because our self-esteem becomes so eroded from all of the emotional abuse. In that case ... take your time getting out there and doing things you enjoy (e.g. going out to breakfast, etc), start small and then build up from there. 👍 If it will help to take a break from work, and then take a relaxing shower in the morning and then binge-watch your favorite shows then try that because taking care of yourself begins with getting away from & trying to take your mind off the stress and pain. 👍

Something that has helped me is accepting my ex for who they are. What they did is not reflective of me--he lied and deceived you, and that says more about him than it does about you. I stopped thinking "if he really loved me, he would _____" and just accepted that's the way he is, which is sad. You deserve better.
You say this happened a long time ago and now you have a new person in your life. what did you do after it happened, did you deal with it? did you talk about it? did you get help? The lying and horrible thing that he did and then to go with a girl who mocked your depression, that is a trauma whatever way you look at it. And unless you really get to the nitty gritty of what they did, you could be carrying their nastiness for your whole life, and you don't deserve that. They did bad, and they should get no luck for the bottom feeder level they reached, but you need to learn that it was NOTHING to do with you. horrid sad people like that would have done it to anyone, possibly have done similar to other people. They deserve NO space in your thoughts ,head or mind, so talk to someone and start getting them out so you can live the life you deserve. You are better than that, don't accept the legacy that idiots burden you with.... (hug)
