I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m glad you seem to be taking it day by day. It’s all you can do- taking steps in the right direction. Time and progress can do amazing things. Relationships don’t always work out unfortunately, no matter what the case may be. but don’t discount the great times and memories with how the relationship ends. I don’t mean to be cliche, but try to focus on the positives. but personally, i like to look at those relationships as a learning curve. It may hurt in the time being, but I promise you- it will get better.
