Help me save my marriage.
My wife asked for a separation after deciding that I don't take her seriously. I take my wife into all decisions made and try to respect what she would say is right. We have been together for 6 years, had 2 kids, got dogs, fixed up our home, and were happy. Now it's falling apart and so am I. Mostly in a time of alot of financial troubles. I love my wife and want nothing more than to fix our marriage in a healthy manner.
@Farmer307- Would she consider couples counseling?? Is she able to articulate what she means by "not taking her seriously" Best of luck to the two of you.
We have discussed it some. At a 4 month period we are going to hopefully start some counseling as a couple. She said we needed to budget and stuff. I went to the store and got thing that I thought we needed and didn't realize that I'd spent most of our money. Mind you, we were pretty broke. But she says that I don't listen to what is being said nor do I show respect for it. But I made a mistake. I should have checked our account, but I find it so insane to split up after wards
@Farmer307- glad to hear you are considering counseling. Tough that money is so tight- I hear you. We each are entitled to honest mistakes - making purchase and finding out unable to afford must have been unsettling. Often it is one event that catapults relationships into trouble, but usually has a long backstory. Keep up the hope.
