How can I win him back?
My partner was separated from his wife when we met. He had just flew over to the UK from America and moved here. This was over a year ago. We fell very quickly and everything is/was great until last week.
his wife reached out via text and then called a few days later. She told him she wants to see if there’s anything still there between them before the divorce.
this obviously stirred up a lot of emotion in my partner. Neither of them got much closure, he moved to the uk just weeks after breaking up. So I feel like this may be their chance at that.
however because it’s not fair to keep me while he figures this out he has broke up with me and asked me to move out.
They have agreed for her to fly to the Uk for the first week of December to figure this out.
he has insinuated that he would like me to wait for him should it not work out.
we have had some really nice days throughout the pain, we have gone for hikes and dinners and have just been dealing with this in the best way we can.
So I’m just really confused and struggling.
I sent him a really long message earlier while he was at work which I realised it wasn’t fair as he’s at work. But it was too late he’d already seen some of it and is not happy - understandably. I managed to delete it before he read all of it and said I’ll show him later.
I move out on Saturday and go to my parents for a little bit until I have an idea of what to do next.
but I guess I’m holding on to hope that he realises he doesn’t want to try again with her and that we have a future together.
I probably should add that there has been no contact between them for the year.
they broke up due to arguing and disagreeing all the time. He tried to break up with her multiple times before it actually happening.
inthink he’s been caught up with her and all the positive memories she’s been talking about.
I guess I just don’t want to give up on something I feel like it’s worth fighting for but I also don’t want to hold on hope to something if there’s no chance in *** for me
@Foxycleo1986 “he has insinuated that he would like me to wait for him should it not work out.”
Really? How long are you prepared to live in limbo?
Literally just until the week that she visits the uk is finished.
he says he needs the week to have some clarity and understanding because the phone call made him feel so many emotions.
@Foxycleo1986,
he needs time and space to figure himself out. You might or might not be part of his life one day.
Leave the door open yet do not wait for him.
@Foxycleo1986,
you said he broke up with you and asked you to move out.
That says a lot. Are you really willing to invest in someone who clearly is not over his ex yet
