I cheated but want her back
I was with a girl for about 6 years and helped raise her two kids things got weird between us where we were not having sex and didn't really have a lot of communication and I ended up meeting somebody new and leaving and living with the new girl.
After about a week I went back and talked to my ex and told her I was sorry for cheating and how I would fix the problem did this another week later and there were emotions I was able to talk to her and her kids about how I hurt their mom and I would never do it again.
A little bit about me I don't drink do drugs or smoke I'm very active have a great job and we had a lot of commonalities between us. I was trying to finalize my divorce but it was really hard and it was one thing I could never do during the relationship with my ex but since I've been gone for 2 weeks I was actually able to get my divorce filed.
I know my ex is hurt and she has sent a few drunk texts saying that she misses me and I still do keep in contact with her kids every once in awhile via text. Every time I would text her it seemed to be very dry and shallow text or I sometimes I would not even get a reply.
About 3 weeks ago my oldest girl and youngest girl who had no relationship with my ex wanted to talk to her via text and they have been for the last couple weeks however I've had no contact with my ex why would my ex want to talk to my kids now when she had no relationship with them before.
My ex is also on my social media and likes some of my posts.
@funnyThinker424 Respectfully, I am a bit confused why the children would have to know about it especially since it was only 1 week that you I guess cheated on her. I guess this is irrelevant though
Maybe your ex is interested in maintaining a relationship with your children only, I really don't know, it's hard to say from what you write here
sorry if this is not too helpful
ever consider going to therapy and finding out what is in you to make you cheat and afrer a week of living with someone else, expecting her to take you back? Not sure how old your kids are or if tbey know what you did, but maybe they as women empathize with her.
I honestly think if you haven't done any soul searching or reflecting on what you need to do to change and be a loyal partner, then its best she moves on. I've been cheated on and I promise you even though we stayed together, a part of me hates him every day. if he didn't go to therapy and actually show his commitment to change, I'd be gone.
