2 weeks ago my boyfriend of 7 years broke up with me out the blue, from what I knew we was happy, nothing had changed and then within a split second it all changed.

Ofcourse I was broken but kept myself busy with work, from what I knew he moved back down south and was no longer in the area (we moved to my hometown so I assumed he had moved back to his from what he said) although it hurt I think it helped (especially since he used to work two doors down from my work) we hadn’t spoken much since it happened but when we did he was so cold and spoke to me like a stranger.

On Friday I was on my way back from work and, I’m not sure why, looked in to his work and saw him sitting there. Ofcourse I thought he had moved so I was rather confused and eventually he told me he was with someone else and that he made the decision to be with this person half an hour before breaking up with me.

im destroyed, I’m so lost and I just can’t stop crying. Please tell me this gets better? How do I stop thinking of him and her together all happy when I’m breaking?

I guess crying is the best way to let out your feelings. Yes, I know it hurts like ***, I'm going thought the same thing after 11yeats. I asked my self, is there anything I could have done? But, this is not your fault, no matter how much you feel it is. That's the only thing that helps me through this. It's not your fault, you did not cause these feelings you are feeling. I wish I could say so something better, but that's all I got. I hope anything I said helps you in some way.

My family has been my therapist. Every feeling or thought I have, I tell them. The pain doesn't go away so far it's just been 2 days but the logic becomes clearer. For me, reasoning and seeing that it's fate that's it's probably what we need even if we don't want it, that realization is also helping me a lot. I creed for 48 hours straight I haven't cried today. My bother suggested I read books and make the authors my best friends. He also suggested I read on abusive relationships to feel empowered. I'm going to order jay shetty's new book 8 rules of love. You should too. Hopefully we can help each other:)

A man who loves us won't leave us after so long.

@TeaNeedsChat

It does get better but it takes time...

you made assumptions about you thought he moved without evidence ........... then were surprised he had not.......to find out there is someone else is a real kick in the gut............that is understandable and do not stress too much about happy ever after your guess before was not spot on...

but i would question the out of the blue...

sometimes a person is not aware that their partner is NOT aware they are not happy in the relationship.

As a person who has not been in my relationship for a long time i could walk out the door and say "see ya"..........and yes my partner may say it was OUT of the blue.......... but i think that is what he wants to believe not a fact.

If you still have feelings for this person why would you want him unhappy and miserable ?...... be the bigger person and realize someone great for you is just around the corner and you could have missed that trying to save a failed relationship
