Is it time to move on?

My boyfriend is delaying our marriage for his older Sister due to our relation being inter-caste which he things will affect his sister's marriage negatively. He's not active or responsible in taking initiatives nor does she show signs of getting married.

Everytime I bring up the topic of when we should get married he keeps saying I want my Sister to get married first before I will. She is a divorcee with a child from the previous marriage so her marriage will take some time.

I love him and care for him but I'm worried he doesnt have the confidence or drive to take the stand and lead the marriage. I've talked to my family and his to get the needed approvals, but he refuses to get married until his sister does.

I'm seeing no signs of this moving forward and I'm getting worried about our future together. He's compatible with me, handsome, has a job, is responsible, patient a s awesome in most other aspects except this. Should I move on or continue waiting? Is he the type of man you would suggest for your female loved ones?

He has been very upfront and honest about his intentions regarding marriage. His sister's marriage is more important to him than his own and he believes waiting is to her advantage. On your part, it is reaonable to want some guidelines on what to expect for the future since at the moment it is hanging indefinitely. Do you think you can ask him to set a rough timeline? Say if he sets it for a year, he then has a year to get her married, if not, he can accept that it's not his being single that is the hurdle so he can get married. Not sure about the caste/cultural differences between your families so I can't comment on that part.

Good luck!
