It's been almost 2 months
It's been almost 2 months since we broke up. We dated for a little over a year. We lived 2 hours apart, messaged 24/7 and visited each other every second week. etc etc, I loved him more than anything but he sometimes made me so upset in the relationship because his love didn't match mine. It felt one sided. He would often forget to call me, prioritize videogames, never planned a date - not once, and just watch me cry when he upset me. He was very immature, I know, yet I still loved him. My love stayed no matter what he did to me. I know he wasn't a good boyfriend. I don't know why, but he was still home to me. He was the person I was closest with. I genuienly don't know why I love him so much. When we broke up, he became so coldhearted and mean,, it shattered my heart. The first month I cried every single day. In the second month I cried a little less. I still can't think about him without crying instantly. It really feels like my favorite person died. The person that cared for me no longer exist, which is extremly hard to accept. I feel like I'm grieving a death. My heart hurts. All I wanted was to feel loved and give love. And me being constantly upset at his lack of love made him leave. Reality is so confusing, I'm so confused about life and how we ended up here. It's hard.

Hi, there. Breaking up is so hard, and there is no time frame for grief.
You're so right when you say that the end of a relationship is like a
death. The sadness is exactly that - mourning the loss. You do state that you understand that this person did not truly prioritize you, respect you, did not give you things that you desire in a relationship. Your heart was in love, while your head knew that he was not sincere. Sometimes there is confusion because the desire to be with "someone" is more important than being with "the right one." Loneliness is hard to face, right? When you start to feel stronger, take the time to prioritize your needs and consider finding a way to share what you need with the next person you date, very early on. If you expect that from the next person in your life, it will become easier to get what you need. It is not selfish to want respect from your partner. It is one of the foundations of a healthy relationship that has the potential for true love. I wish you well as you heal and hope you find that fulfillment in your next relationship.
I am soo sorry to hear that but I think he did not loved u at all as he did not put effort what so ever I would suggest on try improving yourself learn new things discover yourself love yourself and invest in yourself I am sure u are an amazing person and u will meet better people
I don’t know why always people start to say move on find new hobby and so on.ITS NOT POSSIBLE when you are heartbroken your words can hurt others.I am on the same boat I just want to say time can heal us.Its normal crying and feeling empty sometimes I feel nothing. It really hurts…
