Its like 2 years meant nothing to him

He just made me break up with him. Its like ripping my own heart out. We've been in a long distance relationship and he said (more than once) that we've got this, we're gonna make it. But then when I asked to take a step forward (like a visit for Christmas or something. Othing dramatic) suddenly he disappears and tries to pretend i never asked. Then he suddenly doesn't know what he wants and "doesn't fit the mold of a boyfriend" like we haven't been together for the last 2 years.

I felt like something was off, but I chalked it up to his work year being extended. I saw it coming a long time ago, but it seemed like something he was leaving behind. Im so angry, and sad, and just heartbroken. How can the person who causes this much pain be the only one that can comfort you? I dont even know if he cares what he's done. I love him, I think he loves me? but I need more than what he's willing to give
