Hey there, hopefully you are doing well. There's a few things I would like to point out;
So my boyfriend of 5 months had dumped me this past june. (If you had certain abandonment and anxiety issues then it's going to intensified throughout the breakup process) He had been my best friend of 2 years beforehand (This tells me you developed a bond and attachment with him, so it will definetly going to take awhile to heal properly, however the pain and hurt you are going through will not last forever, at some point you will feel better) and i dont know what to do. (It's important to not chase, beg or pursue him for any reason. It's very very important to wait to hear from him now on, he has to feel separation anxiety from losing you) I miss him and I'm lonely without him. (These are normal feelings to go through after the breakup, however the "Im lonely" part leads me to believe that you relied heavily on him for your happiness and well being, so often you might had cling on him. This also tells me you pushed unmet needs on him, you didn't stand up on your two feet and kept your individuality but rather a mindset of "I need and want".)
@starryCandy67,
I am sorry you are going through such a trying situation ,maybe for you it seems like you will never be happy again but it will surely pass with time.It takes time, sometimes it's a life-long journey ,to heal from our inner wounds before we are ready for a healthy relationship.Usually every relationship triggers something within us,though now you are hurting,you should take this time to reflect on all the things that have happened ,think about causes and effects,about your ffelings,previous experiences with relationships,find a pattern of behaviour in you which .right have led to the current situation,grow and develop within you.It's very important while healing to eliminate possible issues we have so that we don't repeat the same pattern in the future.We should become aware that we cannot control other people's thoughts and feelings,we can only control our own response to them.Ultimately it's our responsibility we are in the situation we are in,as hurtful as it may sound,it's a fact!Wish you a healthy recovery,learn to love yourself and take good care of you first,the rest will follow!😊Hope this helps and Good luck !:)
