Long-distance bipolar partner broke up unexpectedly and I'm so lost

Up front - we are both polyamorous and genderqueer.

My long-distance partner broke up with me completely unexpectedly last week. I have barely eaten since then. We've struggled before because sometimes our mental health needs clash, but we worked on it together. This time they just cut me off completely in a unilateral decision. I don't understand. I miss them so much. I want to reach out, because maybe they miss me too, but maybe it would make them mad if I did. I don't know what the right thing to do is and today is REALLY hurting. None of my friends have checked in with me today...I just want someone to care. I'm totally lost.

I mentioned that they are bipolar because I have read about being "discarded" and that is what it feels like. But also, they said we are really good together and they hope we can get back together sometime. But meanwhile I don't know what to do. I'm totally stuck today...it was going to be a day I actually got some stuff done but it turns out to be worse than before. I can't stop thinking about them.

omg I am so sorry I went through a break up a year ago and  it was very hard I didn't go to church, I didn't eat or didn't get outta bed and didn't shower in all in 2 weeks and that might sound gross but I really couldn't but I am better than ever it takes a lot of time to heal from a breakup like that I love you so much and so does so many people!

Sorry to say but are you missing them just because no one checked on you. Don't look for validation. Go get what's yours. I know how hard it can be being in long distance. You both give yourself time to understand. And I hope you'll get together again more stronger
