Losing my everything

My Ex was more than my GF, she was my best friend, my confidante, my pillar of support, my soulmate. A little backstory to the relationship was that we had a beautiful friendship, We had so much chemistry together and it was as if she was the only person in the whole world who could understand me, bringing me out from the darkness and my fear of love after my first heartbreak. We promised each other that we'd still be best friends if things doesn't work out. After we broke up, she texted me saying that she had many things to tell me, we met up as friends and she told me her reasons for her breaking up with me and after deep considerations she decided that she would try again. Naturally, I agreed after thinking about it and I was sure to make things work but more recently, we broke up again (in person) and after the break up we were still close friends, walking together, her telling me that she still loves me, would still make time for me and would still show me that she loves me. According to her, she has become interested in a new guy, it has only been about 2 weeks since the official break. I remember her saying that it's impossible to forget about the love and how she doesn't want to lose me, but the way it seems to me is that she is pushing me away because of her "new guy" and giving me cold replies. Just looking for advice and words of consolation if it helps.

Yeah, I concur with likewatersw eventhough it's a hard advice to take. It'll take time. Maybe pour your feelings into a productive hobby, such as art, music, construction, landscaping whatever activity that you enjoy that is also a safe outlet.

it's kind of like everything reminds me of her and this feels like a relationship break up as well as a friendship break up even when we promised each other to be there for each other

I feel the same way. There are just too many memories everywhere that always reminded of her. In the relationship she said she would always be there for me and that she’ll never leave me. People change though and now she broke up with me due to lost of interest. Life is expecting and unfair most of the times. I’m trying to cope by focusing more on myself and reaching out for help. I wish you luck friend, we’ll both need it :(
