Maybe the end..

Recently, my girlfriend and I have been struggling with honesty and just straight up hiding things. Yesterday I told her a secret that I thought would bring us more close and help our relationship. Well the opposite happened and she said she might break up with me today. I'm scared to lose her because she is my everything. She's giving me one last date while she's thinking about it. I'm not sure how to handle myself with this.. She's my everything and at this point, I don't know what I would do without her.

@BigP18

A healthy relationship most definitely require honesty.

You tried being honest with her. You hoped for a better and deeper bond, yet it backfired on you. You tried your best and perhaps you may think that maybe telling her the truth wasn't the right decision.

It is however.

Despite how a relationship may seen, a relationship is not healthy when two couples have to hide certain things from each other. In the long terms, it will start to hurt and affect one and another. There is not a single person in this type of relationship I have seen happy with themselves and their relationship.

Yes, it may seem like she is your everything at the moment. But she actually isn't. You are your own person as she is her own.

The best thing you can do is to wait and see what she says. It seems like she needs time to think about it.

Just remember that a relationship will not work if it's one sided. It's a two-way street.

Best~

@SenpaiXD I completely agree with all of this. It's hard to be in a relationship and be happy if you're not honest with one another.

@gentleHeart20 I agree. I've been trying and so has she. It just backfired.

@SenpaiXD I think that even if she decides to come back or to stay with you ..I'm not sure if you will feel comfortable ever again to be open with her and share things on the fear she might judge you or leave you. And that is not fair to yourself knowing that you are willing to be honest and share things.

@Lolie

Then you will know that she isn't the right one for you. A relationship without honesty and effective communication will only result in many problems and cost you unnecessary troubles and sadnesses.

If someone can't accept your honesty with love and care, then I don't think that person is worth being invested by your love.

A relationship is about two people working together to make it a long happy healthy life together its about talking to each other asking how they feel how was there day no lies no secrets cause it will just dig your hole deeper there is no need to lie to each other or hide things from one another my fiancée and I were both honest with one another were both very comfortable around each other there is no secrets no lies and very honest trustworthy for a relationship to work both of you have to put in your fair share of work to make it work it seems to me she doesn't want it to work anymore cause you were honest with her she rather be in a relationship that's all secret and hurt one another by lying and hiding things and not be honest you did the right thing by being honest doesn't matter what age group how long you've been in a relationship for to make it all work you need there trust respect honesty always up front on telling you things relationships are all about that and feeling completely comfortable with each other best of luck hope all gets sorted hope this helps
