Not getting over

Over a year ago, my ex-girlfriend broke up with me, and even though we were together for only half a year, I felt like it was a lifetime. Since the very first moment we shared a really good connection, making our relationship also a very good friendship. Sadly, due to personal and emotional issues, she felt we were better off not together, so one day, as we were watching the TV, she let the bomb explode. Of course I didn’t agree, but there wasn’t nothing I could do to change her mind. It was very difficult for me to keep getting forward, and for a long time, I was in a very bad situation. Still, time passes and wounds heal. I’ve to say things didn’t end so good between us, mostly because of me, but if she doesn’t hate me, at least she doesn’t remember me in a nice way. Thing is, I still conserve our pictures and her presents. There isn’t one day I won’t think about her. My social life has only worsened since I keep comparing everyone to her. I only had the opportunity to see her once again last month at a social thing, and she seemed as beautiful as the first day. I’ve stopped talking about this with anyone. Everyone thinks I’m far over her, but the truth is, she is still one of the most important things in my life. Last night I dreamed about us going to a concert and me taking her hand. After it, I saw her sleeping. When I woke up, I felt empty, and kinda disappointed of not living in that reality. I really don’t know how to get over her, how to not let this affect me anymore. It is hard to fake being okay all the time. Whatever, thanks for reading this nonsense.

I know how that feels, you are not alone, I've been there too and quite recently, there's this video on YouTube of the channel "the dating guy" about the break up lessons from the movie forgetting Sarah Marshall, i believe it's interesting and might help, feel free to reply here
