Once we're finally untangled and separated, should I treat myself to an overseas trip?
Here's a question for you. We're separating/divorcing but currently still under the same roof -- for all sorts of reasons. Shortly, however, we'll have the house sold, move out and start living separately.
Should I treat myself to a week or so in my favourite places overseas?
PRO: It's a big "me only" milestone to mark the start of my new life and something I've wanted to do for a couple of years now.
CON: Although I can almost certainly do a fair amount of couch-surfing, it's a big expense and money I should probably be saving.
Thoughts?

I didn't really start to move on from my breakup until I stopped living with my ex and started doing things without her. A change of scenery, a change of people, new hobbies, new experiences make moving on so much easier. It's like overloading your mind with new information completely unrelated to your ex. I understand that finances can be tricky. But don't think of it as an expense. Think of it as an investment in yourself that will pay dividends by helping you let go of unhappy memories.
