Thinking about a divorce
I am not happy with my marriage. My husband is always trying to control me. We were great friends before falling in love, but he turned out to be someone that I do not know. He is always pushing me to doubt myself and my own sanity. NEVER admits that he is wrong. With him it is either I am wrong, i am imagining things, or that i am too sensitive. I was already diagnosed with depression last year because of this relationship. And even that he blames me for. I am tired and sad. I just want to go back to the old me. However no one around me is supporting my decision to leave, as they see nothing of him but this loving, caring husband who may be a little jealous at times, but in their eyes this in not enough reason to ruin a marriage and walk away...

To me, this appears to be emotional abuse. Regardless of what others say, you are not obligated to stay in a relationship with which you are unhappy. Narcissists often wear a different mask to others, revealing themselves only after you've known them for a long period. If you don't stop it now, they'll continue to abuse you until you're completely depleted.
What you are experiencing is gazlighting. You are made to think that something is wrong with you by the other person. Your emotions are never acknowledged and whatever you do, you are portrayed as a defective person. There is nothing that you can do to fix this marriage but leave...
Hi @fearlessLime907. I think you are dealing with a narcissist. If he is not willing to try marriage counselling then you should think if you can really continue in this marrwith your health and sanity intact. If your wellis compromised then you will need to leave. Divorce is hard and painful but you must decide which situation you can live with with less damage to your health and wellbeing. Of course, if you have kids, you will need to consider what would be the best environment and family situation for them. You need to take care of yourself so you can take care of them. I hope you find peace very soon.
Same boat here. He straight tells me “you feel like that because you want to” or react like that because you want to. And it makes me question am I sticking up for myself or am I just a dragging naggin btch Everyone sees that he’s this helpful. Fun full of love man. But he was left me crying in a neurotic state. Begging him to please see me and be there for me. I went into depression and then that turned into ppd yet he blamed me for that and told me I had control over it. I want to leave but I’m scared.
Me too=(
