Unemployed husband for 2 years, 2 small kids, we were losing everything!!! I TURNED TO PROSTITUTION

And now I'm having a hard time getting out of it, well better yet I can't get out of it because my husband is still unemployed!!!!! What causes a man to wake up one day and say to himself " I think I'm going to sit around and do house work while my wife prostitutes for money and I'm not going to look for a job" Why would he? He is being supported by me for 2 very long years. I cant just walk away from him. 16 years of marriage, 2 kids. He says he is depressed, but wont do nothing about it. I made him an appointment to see the doctor and he did go, but he never took the meds.

So every day is the same thing. I get up and advertise my services, while my husband cleans house! When I have a job he gets the kids out of the house and takes care of all the little stuff. You know....... kinda like a pimp!

I have begged and pleaded with him to help me get out of this and for him to find another job, but my pleads go unheard. I am so totally broken that I have no idea where to begin to get my life back. My inner voice keeps telling me that I need some support and help, but what? Who?

I am also dealing with a severe mental condition of bipolar 1. I am taking my meds but it doesn't do a thing for me when my emotions are this high and messed up. I scream all the time and I am always angry and frustrated. I want to leave him, but that will split our family apart, and my son will not go with me because we are struggling to get along. I would be taking the only vehicle, and the only means of support away from him. I am not that heartless. I cannot leave him just stranded with my son with no car and no money. OH GOD! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME

@FallenAngel1677 I'm so sorry to hear about this! Sometimes life can be a hard, life throws in a rough patch and you have to make it out of it! Sometimes you'll be pushed down, but it's more important to focus on getting up rather than being down. If you need someone to talk to, I'm always open! Stay Strong! <3

Hey there, Thank you for posting your situation, I would like point out some things.

And now I'm having a hard time getting out of it, well better yet I can't get out of it because my husband is still unemployed!!!!! (Your husband being unemployed causes a lot of problems, not just on the household but on you, it forces you to take charge in the marriage so it causes you to feel unhappy, angry a lot and resentment) What causes a man to wake up one day and say to himself " . I think I'm going to sit around and do house work while my wife prostitutes for money and I'm not going to look for a job" (A man that only cares about his own well being). Why would he? He is being supported by me for 2 very long years. I cant just walk away from him. 16 years of marriage, 2 kids. (You actually can walk away from him, but there are various reasons why you can't walk away from him. A few reasons could be being afraid of being alone, not wanting to go through the hurt and pain, some sort of attachment trauma, anxiety, and other things. It's very possible to walk away, but the thought overwhelms you entirely. You are also enabling his behavior by handling this situation) He says he is depressed, but wont do nothing about it. I made him an appointment to see the doctor and he did go, but he never took the meds. (That's what he tells himself everyday so he wouldn't have to go out and work, thats the reason he uses to excuse his actions. He is not doing anything to help himself, so obviously other people help won't work. He has to accept things are going wrong, that he needs to change on order for things to work out. By the way, medicines won't solve the entire issue).

So every day is the same thing. I get up and advertise my services, while my husband cleans house! When I have a job he gets the kids out of the house and takes care of all the little stuff. You know....... kinda like a pimp! (This marriage has become one-sided where you are doing more of the things, putting yourself in danger everyday, while he sits at home, that is not cool. You shouldn't be putting up with this, because he will not change, he doesn't see the need to put effort and change because you are doing pretty much everything, so it makes him you take for granted).

I have begged and pleaded with him to help me get out of this and for him to find another job, but my pleads go unheard. I am so totally broken that I have no idea where to begin to get my life back. My inner voice keeps telling me that I need some support and help, but what? Who? (Trust and listen that voice, you have tried to repeadtly to communicate with him, to tell him to find a job, but he is not listening to you. This tells me that he won't change in the long run, and staying, doing everything makes him do less. I understand this is what you need to do to bring food to the table, but he is not putting the same effort as you).

I am also dealing with a severe mental condition of bipolar 1. I am taking my meds but it doesn't do a thing for me when my emotions are this high and messed up. (Medicines only do 10-15% out of 100% when it comes to bipolar, depression, anxiety etc, the other 85%-90% is done through therapy. Medicines only stabilzes your mood for a bit so you can do the work through therapy) I scream all the time and I am always angry and frustrated. (You are bound to feel this way, you are not happy in the marriage or how things are going. He is not taking charge of things, or taking care of things so it makes you resent him which is normal). I want to leave him, but that will split our family apart, and my son will not go with me because we are struggling to get along. (The thing is that the son is not learning how unconditional love, how relationships should be, so in essence staying is doing more harm than good) I would be taking the only vehicle, and the only means of support away from him. I am not that heartless. I cannot leave him just stranded with my son with no car and no money. (It's not about leaving him stranded, no car, no money. In two years what has he really done? Has he had your back? Does he makes you happy? Is he putting effort?, he would be on that situation if you leave because of him, of not being able to have a job to support the household and himself. In here you are not thinking about your own happiness and well being) OH GOD! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME

@freshLight64

Omg!! Thank you for that. I really needed to hear that from someone else besides my confused inner self. Your right it is hard to walk away with fears that drown me everyday. Thank you for your support. Are you a listener that might be able to help me long term?
