Weird space
Hi y’all me and my boyfriend of 3 years broke up. Its for the best so we can work on ourselves and see what happens in future. I didn’t know i needed to love myself and work on myself until now. I think he is my person but we need to take time away to better ourselves individually. We see eachother a lot during the week and its gotten a lot better and we hug sometimes too. We’re always gonna be in eachother’s lives he said but we’re in a weird spot. What do y’all think? Do we have a chance of getting back together? He said “dating or not, we’ll always be in eachother’s lives.”
@selfdisciplinedPond2088,
just focus on your self.
What the future brings, you don't know, so just enjoy the moment.
@selfdisciplinedPond2088 I’m struggling with something similar. My bf and I of 9 years took a break about two weeks ago. It is nice you still see each other we haven’t at the moment but agreed we still loved each other. I also have tried to do more self care and show him I’m making positive changes. But I realized these changes can’t just be for him they have to be for me too. Whatever the future holds you will be better for it. And I’m one to hold out hope that if you both feel like you are in a better space there is always a chance but also stay strong and true to yourself and take care. I know this isn’t easy 🙏 wishing you all the best!
Thankyou! Hope you’re doing okay! I don’t know whether to say like, what’s the situation because it feels like we’re not fully over. It’s like he’s assuming i’m not gonna move on and keeping me around but still wanting to do things for me. I’d rather him say “this is a break” but instead he said “this is the next best thing and i’m liking spending time with you”
I'm in something similar my girlfriend and I recently broke up we're still living as roommates for the time being but we both have things we need to work on before we can even think about trying to work on our issues. All we can do is hope but continue to be our best selves.
