What to do after a breakup?

I recently broke up with my boyfriend for various reasons. I love him dearly but I know for my own growth and happiness I could not continue in the relationship. We broke up over 2 months ago and I think about him very day. I used to text him almost 24/7 when not around one another, he was another set of ears. I told him any issues I had at work, family drama, anything funny that happened to me. We talked about absolutely everything. Even if something good happened to me, I didn't feel good untill I told my boyfriend, when he was excited or happy about what I said, then I would feel happy. It brought me joy sharing every detail of my life with him. Even silly things such as how proud I was of how much water I drank that day. Ever since the break up, I feel like I'm just living my life day by day, just waiting for the next day to start. I know I needed to end the relationship because of our differences and how we didn't agree on a future but now I feel very emotional and flat. Nothing seems to give me excitement or happiness. If something funny happens in my life, I don't feel like laughing because I don't have anyone to laugh along with. My question is, how do you occupy your time after a break up? It's lock down where I am, so I'm home 24/7. I don't want to just lay in bed after work untill the next day and repeat. Any suggestions?

I rearrange the house when I'm upset. I clean with loud music. Paint a wall or move the furniture. Being able to see change helps me. Puzzles like sodoku help too. They tend to occupy all your thought and let you escape.

It's going to be a long and hard process but you will get better!!! You can do things that you have never ever done, dye your hair, learn to cook your favorite food, learn a new skill, redecorate your house, get a pet, dance, garden, listen to podcasts. Life is too short to live it without emotion, so try to live every day as it was the best day of your live. 😃😉

Try reaching out to friends and connecting w them. Work on your goals whether it be fitness, mental health, etc. Learning that our thoughts and experiences are valid on our own without any external validations is key. You can get through this. ❤️
