When zen ends butt kicking begins

Long story short . My now ex went away for an internship and realized there he still loves his ex from six years ago ( they've been friends for that time) and because it's my life....we break up so he can get her back. DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL LIKE THE MOST RIDICULOUS NAIVE PERSON ALIVE THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO THEM ? because I do. I think all I can do is laugh.
