I was in a situationship for a while. It really wasn't working well but it was hard to let go of my one friend. We had different expectations. Then I read about an exercise that involved writing down what makes you uncomfortable to make it easier to leave. For me this was a huge help. I hope others can be helped by this exercise.

1. He did not offer to pay for a meal despite causing me to need a 50 dollar test.
2. He was rude to me in the grocery store by acting like I didn't exist even though he invited me to shop.
3. He fetishizes me doing chores for him and doesn't consider how this makes me feel despite me pointing this out.
4. On our first date he openly judged me for having a warped family dynamic despite not having control over this or giving me a chance to explain the full situation.
5. He plays games regarding the COVID virus by insisting on social distancing and not having hanging out, but was ok with me cleaning for him out of sympathy.
6. He has shown less and less interest in doing things outside of his apartment before COVID virus.
7. He doesn't take constructive criticism. But asks me for advice.

Hello @Vesness

First of all, I am so sorry it took so long for you to get a reply. It is not okay and you deserve better.

Second of all, thank you for opening up. I agree, this exercise can be really helpful! It can be beneficial to see all the unhealthy behaviors or rudeness your partner (or even friend) on a piece of paper right in front of you. Thank you for sharing this exercise and your experience <3
