breakups and emotional anuse
Can anyone relate to how confusing it is to leave an emotionally abusive relationship? Especially when the abusive person initiated the end?
@Charmingoasis24- Heavens yes. But he did not initiate the separation- too lazy. It is extremely complicated. I recommend counseling with someone experienced with abusive relationships. Has been very beneficial for myself.
@Charmingoasis24 sounds like a narcissist. I am going through the same thing, only I had to walkaway from her. She initiated it by having her family inform me that I need to have self respect for myself. It hurt knowing someone did this to me, and that their are people out there doing this to good people, people who not only have given their heart but they body and mind to the individual in hoping they are the ONE for ever.
@Charmingoeasis24,
it depends on how one defines emotional abusive.
My wife felt like being emotional abusive to me and she accused me of the same.
I am very careful with using characteristics like that.
Seems to become a habit today, same for instance for narcissism.
Abuse is always on purpose.
Can you elaborate on what you mean by emotional abusive?
The person I had to breakup with put NO EFFORT into the relationship. Her family started telling me that they didn’t like how she was treating me. How long was I going to continue to allow her to disrespect me. I feel they did her dirty work so I would break up with her and she didn’t have to say anything but give me that DISGUSTING DISCARDED look like I was a combination of trash and puke. It’s only been a month and I feel better. I’m still angry still feeling vengeful but I will not follow through on that as I am a good person
