@Laura I think my happiest memory happened not too long ago. It was when my partner and I both agreed to be in an relationship together. Even though we're miles apart being with them has made me feel really happy.

I cllimbed a mountain. it was a pretty small mountain, more of a hill really, and I technically didn't reach the peak, but after struggling up this steep slope I reached this point where the trail ended and I could see down where the waterfall went down to the river and I just felt so happy, like just in that moment everything was fine. It was the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen.

I think this might sound a bit sad, it may not, but... my happiest memory hasnt happpened yet. I always feel sure of that.

I look back and what is lovely in my unfortunately very vast and detailed memory (more of a haunting-nuisance thing than a useful trait) ... is overwhelming. What is painfully beautiful and striking - memorable - isnt necessarily ever happy for me. Sometimes not even real. I think some of my favorite memories are fragments of richly textured, colored... intricate lucid dreams... that weave their way into waking life perfectly now and again when everything is aligned just right.

I feel like Im looking down at myself from above through frosted glass... a pin hole ... most days.. but I fuse back all my fragmented parts and come together (I feel like Im really here) when something is beautiful - distorted - enough to trick me to come to my senses. Kind of like those... smelling salts one might experience in hospital...? I dont know if that makes sense, I try and make sense but Im bad with words. 😓

I feel like I have and havent answered properly. I hope this is ok. Im not used to sharing thoughts in this way.

My happiest recent memory is last year when I went to the beach with my family. We spent all day cycling and snorkeling and I just remember I felt so present. When the day ended we were so sweaty and sandy and I just felt so connected to nature and the people around me. It was really lovely.

Mine are probably 1) a family vacation to Hawaii where we stayed at a nice place and I had a really great book series with me and I had discovered new music I loved and we saw so many beautiful things and it was truly the most at peace I've ever felt. 2) two specific overnight school trips I went on in which I was put in the same group as my friends, and it was so wonderful to hang out with them and laugh with them, and to wander around and play games together, and to watch the sunset and the night sky with them, and to stay up late into the night talking to them. I didn't have any responsibilities, I just felt completely relaxed and happy with the friends I love and it was amazing.

Summer vacationing as a youngster in upstate New York when my mother and father were still together and alive.

I miss them both more than I can put into words. Life is so different and difficult now that I am alone. 💔 All I have are the memories to look back on now and share with strangers.

I really dont have a happy memory in life, alot of it is bad memory that i hate that i remember , I think the only happy memory I have is when my kids were born , Some of my family uses me and the other blame me for everything ,. I hate living majority of the time and no one listens to me or even care about how i feel half the time. Im tired of being stressed im tired of feeling the way i do , majority of the time i hate living and no one cares . my kids bring joy to my life thats all , so i must say the happiest moment in my life has to be when my kids were born ...............
