@ASilentObserver
Hey everyone! I'm totally new here and it's my first time joining a community like this. I decided to join the Relationship Stress group because I am having difficulties being supportive of my boyfriend.

We are both 24 and together roughly two years. This January we came to the agreement that we both felt that we wanted to explore polyamory together. After a bad experience he's now seeing somebody who is much more positive. They've also become a closer friend to me as a result of being BF's partner.

The problem is that I am feeling too much jealousy or anxiety and I think he's starting to notice that. Simply whenever they are together my heart hurts and I know that's not right. We decided on this together because we believe that love should be organic and without limits. I don't want to abandon him or his partner either because they are good people.

I hope I can use 7 Cups and be in this community to feel better and be more supportive of my boyfriend

Hi there!

I'm ChaoticPrincess and I have joined the Relationship Stress group because I have so much past Relationship trauma and childhood trauma that it is difficult for me in my current relationship.

One thing I love most about myself is that I don't give up. Even when times are hard. I may take a little break to rest but I get back up again and try harder.

Hi,

I'm Holly and new here.

I'm 37, married for 12 years, together for 21 years with three boys 18, 15 & 4. The eldest has just gone off to uni and youngest started school in the last couple of weeks.

My husband had a difficult childhood and we have been through our fair share of troubles over the years (not relationship troubles) though none was 'dealt' with at the time. He is currently very depressed and the talking therapy he has had so far has suggested he also has PTSD.

In July, just before our sons 18th he told me that he didn't know what he wanted anymore or if we had a future together. I understand he isn't well at the moment and really struggling and I am trying to be as supportive as possible but I feel so lost and alone. I have suffered with anxiety and depression for many years. I am quite introverted and don't make friends easily or have a network of support that I can call on or would want to call on.

I am in limbo waiting for him to decide what he wants. Some days are easier than others. Today is a bad day.

So anyway, that's why I'm here looking for some support.

Hi, I’m Slo. I’m here because I’m going through a difficult time dealing with a close friendship, someone who has been very significant to me, but things have become uncertain. While we’re not romantically involved, the connection I felt was deep, and now it feels like it’s drifting away. I find it hard to let go, especially since I see them in my mind even during moments of calm, like meditation.

I guess I’m here because I feel lost and unsure about how to process these feelings, and how to find peace with it all. I hope this space can help me gain some clarity and learn how to cope with the emotional complexities that come with this kind of situation.

@ASilentObserver

Hi, I decided to join this community because I'm going through a difficult time in my current relationship and I feel like I need support to leave. The past year or so has been the hardest and I've come to the harsh relization that leaving is the only option.

Positive speak has never been a stong suit of mine but I love that once I make my mind up about something I tend to stick with it.

@ASilentObserver
Hi  👋👋 I recently thought of support groups. I researched and found 7cups.
As cliché as it is : I'm 2 weeks out of a romantic break-up. This was my most cherished relationship. We didn't separate for lack of feelings, or common vision. It's the first time I feel like I'm "loosing my mind" that much.
I thought community would be a valuable resource.
Looking forward to learning more around here
Sincerely

I guess what brings me here is losing the person closest to me in the entire world. This breakup has tore a hole right through me. I've had a broken heart before after losing someone I loved. But this felt different. Looking back I can see where there were times I perhaps took on more stress than necessary in the relationship. Heartbreak, loss, grief like this has been far too much to bare.

Perhaps on here there might be others who can relate to how stress from a partner can make a relationship difficult.

I feel like the walking dead, in a post-apocalyptic world, drained of any life and feeling every bit of the agony and anguish of losing that person, my life with them and the future I had allowed myself to begin to imagine. I guess I could use some support myself right now.

@Drifterbynature I understand exactly how you feel and currently going through that. I was on birth control and had mood swings but decided to come off of it a month ago. Now it feels like it’s too late and I lost the person close to me because of this. I’m not really sure where to move from here but I have been attending church. Reading books and keeping myself occupied doing things like this.

Hi. Ive never tried  any kind therapy. I've been married for 20 years to the one person I love more than anyone in the world. Things have always been up and down for us over all these years.  He has cheated a couple times but I love him so much and we have 2 amazing kids, one is autistic so I'm a stay at mom and wife. It's one thing I've noticed over all these years is my husband will do really well for a good while then he seems to drop in mood and everything. he ends up messaging other women and a couple of times has even went out on a date. Recently, and ice noticed it's been about 7 years since anything to this degree that I know of, he goes to a local bar sometimes and has a couple beers and shoots pool with his friends,  well recently he was seen by my friends sister coming into the bar holding hands with another woman who just happens to be a part time bar tender there. He was also rubbing her legs and had his hand on the inside of her thigh. I've expressed to him how much all this hurts and is a major breach of trust and I've been asking him to remove single women he keeps adding to his *** and he still hasnt. Since I have found out about all this and confronted him he has been more distant.  We have spent time together and had genuine calm conversations about all this and he says he has a problem that sometimes he starts feeling low and starts feeling bored with me and seeks new company. He doesnt feel like he can promise to be 100 percent faithful and he says hes worried he will end up hurting me again but he doesnt want us to split. We do love each other very much and love the family and home we have and I dont want us to split either. I have also come to realization about myself that not only has he emotionally and mentally abandoned me over the last several years but I've done the same. After our son was born 8 years ago and at 2 years old got diagnosed with autism my life has been pretty much about him and just the day to day things I have to do. I realize that I havent been there for my husband in all the ways I keep expecting him to be there for me and we just got so blind to the fact of it and so he went seeking it from someone else what he was lacking here at home with me. Mind you we never get any alone time together unless the kids are asleep as we have no one to help watch them here and there so we can still date each other. I honestly about myself feel lost. Sometimes I feel numb, I always worry and overthink everything. I went through abuse as a child and came from a broken home myself and I dont want that for myself or my children. This sucks trying to move past the loss of trust and betrayal but I've realized I have to start working on myself and healing myself if I want to be able to be there for my husband the way he needs me to be as he to needs to work on himself so I'm hoping that him seeing me actively doing these things that may encourage him and lead him to do the same.

@als4386 hi, I’m new here and I read your entire message and that’s exactly what I’m going through I have 5 kids and lately I haven’t been doing the best of taking care of myself of taking the time to heal from past betrayal. My husband and I have known each other since high school had our first child at the age of 17 but have only been married for 4 years. So 6 years of on and off dating to 4 years of marriage. I love him I do and use to see him as more than my partner but also my best friend. Is sad because sometimes I just can’t see past the betrayal so It makes me angry or irritated to where I don’t show affection like I use to, not to mention I have past trauma as well that does not involve my husband. Hopefully we can talk sometimes to vent. 🫶🏾
