Hi I'm Tara from wa state trying to deal with an overweight daughter and a boyfriend that is critical about how I deal with it and he just calls it correcting me and if it were his daughter it would of never happened I'm losing my mind
@honestbear73 If you are refering to your boyfriend he needs to understand that she comes first and how you deal with it is best, I dont know how long he has been around her but not knowing her and what problems she has puts him at a disadvantage to over think the issue and try to come up with a quick solution, you need to explain to him that she is your daughter (be nice) and you know her the best and say thanks for trying but give me my space to be mom if he does not undetstand that then how will her ever handle any problems between you to it is a hard thing to do handleing a child with a problem and he should not correct you only help you and support you in what you are trying to do . I dont know if this helps or not I hope so
Hi everyone never been in something like this really need some advice about which direction to go and if I am being dumb
I broke up with my girlfriend a few months ago and yes it was my fault since then she has a new boyfriend, I sorted out my problem and fixed it which she agrees I did but kept saying we will never date again, now over the last couple of days she has been flirting with me (we work toghether) and told me she knows it will not work out with the new guy but they are still together I think, she has been doing silly things like punching me and making sure I work next to her and even got me to chase her throught the store, not really sure what is going on with her really confused and what I dont get is that her new guy that she is supposed to be in love with is going into the hospital tommorro for hear surgary and she is acting like that with me, dont know if I am wrong but would like to have her back and she knows I love her she had me tell her a couple of days ago am I reading to much into this turn around and games she acted lilke she did when we were dating including allowing me to touch her back horseplaying dont want to get invested in my heart again if all she is doing is playing games with me for fun please help

Hello! I'm Grace. I've been in a committed, long term relationship for four and a half years now. We have two sons together. My significant other and I tend to struggle, and we're at a fairly rocky place in our relationship. However, I'm pushing on through and trying my hardest.
It's nice to meet you all!
@beneaththepines Welcome! I hope you have a great time here. <3

HI everyone
I'm James and I'm here to read responses and to hopefully get some great feedback from other members. I'm currently in day 4 of a break-up after 6 great months of being with who I thought was a wonderful woman.
This relationship was probably one of the best I've had in my adult life for so many reasons. We took our time getting to know each other, spent lots of quality time with each other even though she has kids. We did things I had not done in previously relationships like run, hike, cook vegan meals together and the occasional date night together. We had plans to travel together in the next week and coming months as well.
To make a long story short, I saw my ex with another man while out in town just by chance and when I asked her about him later that day by phone, she shut me down quickly and decided not to talk to me anymore. She has since deleted me from her life completely. She has blocked me on all social media, email and phone/text.
I don't even know who this guy was, but her actions have lead me to believe that the man she was with was more than just a friend.
The last few days have been overwhelming to say the least. I put so much time and energy into this short relationship and things were going so great. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out why this had to happen and what I did wrong for her to want to be with another man. If thats even the case.
Over the last few days I've done some of the most embarrassing things in my life. I've tried to stalk her on social media, thought about showing up at her home unannounced (I can't bring myself to go that far), and Ive checked my email probably every 30-seconds over the last 4 days.
I'm a Christian man so Ive done a lot of praying, but the weird thing is that in all my prayers, I'm praying that she forgives me for something I didn't even do. I've noticed that I'm blaming this entire break-up on me even though I constantly read her past emails and text messages saying how great of a man I was. Ive went back over every moment of the last week or so trying to figure out what I could have done wrong, but I cant find an answer.
I really don't want to go on living like this anymore, but I can't stop thinking about her not being in my life anymore. I keep thinking that she will email me any minute telling me that she freaked out and she wants me back.
The good thing is that I haven't coped with what I think is depression and anxiety by drinking and eating, but for some reason I haven't been able to eat much of anything since Monday of this week and its now Thursday. I think I've lost about 6 pounds since Monday and I've been taking over the counter meds just to get an hour of sleep. I wake up constantly, in the middle of the night thinking she will have emailed me or called while I'm sleep.
I'm not sure if my issue is right for this forum, but if anyone has any coping mechanisms, I'd love to hear them. Also, if my issue isnt for this forum, can someone point me in the right direction? Please and thank you!
Best
James

Hey everyone, my name is Jessica and I just joined this group. I suffered a lot of trauma as a kid and struggle with mental health issues, now at 23 I'm doing very well and even have my own house and full time job. I've been in a relationship with this girl for nearly 2 years. She has been there for me through all of my major crisis stuff. Now things are...just weird and exhausting. With lots of fighting. It's too long to explain right here in this thread but hopefully I'll find some good information from being here. Thanks for having me.

@Laura
Hello, Laura: We meet once again. I am a married lady whose husband is a Preacher. I was married through my church. Meaning they picked the man and you marry them. You can not date them outside of Church setting. So because of my past incest and rape issues I never could be the wife I was supposed to be, to a man I did not know nor love. I was told that I would grow to love him and I believed that. He said he loved me but the feeling was not mutual. I had a son through one of the rape attacks. I chose to keep my child. That proved to be a big mistake. As he grew up I struggled with ill feelings toward him. He was a constant reminder of the assault. Now I am being told by doctors that I have so much nerve damage to my sex organs that it is why I can not enjoy sex and why it is so painful. My husband has been pretty good in not demanding much of me But I feel bad. I know he has needs that I just can fill. Keeps me reliving my past traumatic issues..........feeling stuck
