Am I to the toxic one?

I recently saw a YouTube video about the 10 signs you're in a toxic relationship and I've been trying to ask myself this question over and over again. Does anyone else think about this and if so what signs do you think could you ask yourself about toxicity?

Coming from a gal who's been in a 3 year abusive relationship, this would help a lot! Thank you!

I guess I'm in kind of a similar situation. I'm in a very happy relationship with somebody I really love, but I feel like I am kind of ruining it. It's just little things. Sometimes I forget to call when I say I will, things like that, but I guess when I do a lot of little things like that I feel angry at myself and I feel toxic. I feel like I don't deserve to be dating this person. I feel really sad when I think about it, but I don't really feel like I should be sad, because it's my fault. Am I toxic? Does anybody else have a similar experience? This issue has been going on for a while, and I feel like it's taking kind of a toll on me.

@banana80 Hey there. I completely see where you guys are coming from. I am in a relationship of a year and a few months that doing beautiful for me mentally and emotionally so far but it in the beginning, and sometimes even now, we have both felt insecure of whether or not we've been the healthiest for each other. Here are some mindful questions that may help you to ask yourselves to remind you of how stable and how healthy your current relationships are for both parties involved.

1. Can you both talk to each other about absolutely anything (from constipation to mental illness to a fungal toe) and still feel pure love and acceptance?

2. Can you see yourselves in 5 years or even 2, growing and learning from each other as you continue to experience new things? You must understand that you will constantly change as people when you move from one phase of your life to another. Are you willing to experience this with each other?

3. Understand that even the most perfect people are not without flaws. Do you realistically see yourself fully accepting your S/O regardless of wealth or health? Regardless of appearance? Do you respect them unconditionally? Do they reciprocate?

If your answers were positive for the above, you're well on your way to a stable and functional relationship. And the key to any good relationship is honesty and communication. I hope this helps ❤️
